Next Week: Our heroine’s DNA revealed!
There is another comic below, should you decide to skip the written stuff.
Something Completely Unrelated, Chapter 002:
Again, the written bit below is completely unrelated to comics, and wholly related to the pursuit of well-being. This is an area in which I have some expertise.
Know What You Want and State It
Part 2 of 3
As Charles Brossard, my non-fiction writing instructor from long ago at San Diego State University said, “If you want mustard on your hot dog, you better ask for mustard on your hot dog.”
Simple, huh? But not all of us were raised to speak our wants and needs. So establishing a practice, challenging one’s self to do so, can be useful in reclaiming personal power that was long ago taken away. For some of the college students I meet with, this is a huge and monumental task — with an equally as huge reward.
Our sons got good at this, and while that sometimes presented challenges for my wife and me, they both became willing to assert themselves in dicey circumstances, first with teachers and now with employers. And still, from time to time, with their mom and dad.
*sigh*
Know what you want and state it. Doesn’t mean you’ll get it, or even for certain that you’ll be heard. But doing so puts our desire and intent out into the world, and can help us better understand and gauge our relationships. And that can help us move forward.

Another from my now-dormant Bunny Unsettled account on the Sketch-a-Day app, which turned out to be an awesome resource to ensure daily drawing.
The Sketch-a-Day app provides a daily prompt. I don’t remember what the prompt was for this one, but I do remember that the idea here was to show the fallibility of dating apps.
