That team would be Ben Carson, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, an important but not necessarily influential position.
The idea of sending Carson out is based on what John F. Kennedy did during a protest at the White House. According to The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, and my recollection of something the Library published long ago, what President Kennedy sent out instead of the National Guard was coffee and donuts. He then had some protesters invited in to meet with him, so that he could listen to their concerns.
Near impossible to imagine, but if President Trump had that sort of disposition — even with his same policies and the societal and economic messes the country now faces — he would almost certainly not be fighting for his political life.
